Surgeon said scar tape at 3 weeks? Fellow Dr Ramineni Patients - what did you do for scar care at 3 weeks?

(DI, no nips, 3 weeks PO - live far enough away + healing on track enough that I didn’t have a 3 week follow-up, they just told me to take off the steri strips at home.)

Hey y’all, as you may know Dr Ramineni’s instructions say to go directly into scar care after the steri strips are off, and to me it sounded like they were saying to jump directly into scar tape. I also double checked w the surgeons assistant Dr Leemaster and she said to follow the instructions as per post op packet. That said, I feel like a lot of posts I see here on Reddit say that 3 weeks PO is much too early to start taping, so I’ve felt skittish about jumping right in.

If you were a patient of Dr Ramineni or someone who prescribed similar, what did you all do? If you followed the instructions directly and started taping right away, how did that turn out for you? In the meantime (last couple of days) since the strips came off I’ve been putting aquaphor on the incision sites and wearing a tank top under the compression, and padding with gauze where it’s sensitive.
