Wedding band urgent help!

I was given my mother's wedding bands, its a 2 set. About a month ago, I went to see about resizing prices at Kay's in a mall. I know I had it with me the whole day. I went shopping with my fiance after and we went to target too. I had them in my pocket the whole time. I thought I did.

Recently, I realized I lost it. They've been in a little pink mesh bag for party favors in a small white box. I tried calling the lost and found at the mall, they dont have it. I'm on their call list if they do find it. I called target, nothing. I have tried looking in the car and the bedroom. Nothing. I live 30 minutes away from the mall.

I've been freaking out cuz I can't find it and my mom trusted me with it. I don't get how I'd lose it like that. I feel like a shit, stupid, clumsy daughter and I'm stressed about it. My mom wants it back cuz I said we'll just buy our own rings. I'm afraid to tell her. I'm still holding onto hope that I'll find them.

I looked up that you can call the police about it, check Facebook marketplace, check pawnshops. But it's a big area. Lots of stores. Lots of ground to cover.

Should I just keep trying the mall, target and do a deep dive into our room? Should I try anywhere else?

I really wanted to get her rings resized later on like she suggested we do when we have the extra funds, but she wants them back to hold onto. So idk. Any advice would be appreciated, please.
