Are high keys just the same comps?

Hello!

I just started playing this season and decided to push m+ to see how high I can go. I'm currently at 3200 on my ret paladin, but I'm noticing it's harder to get into groups past the +16 mark.

It seems like there's a trend in terms of comps going around, as I'm seeing the same dps get accepted into groups while I just wait in queue (Dev DH, Unholy DK, Demo warlock, Aug evoker). Is it normal for people to be pickier with dps in higher keys? Do they check players logs before picking them, or do they just base it off of class and io m+ score? Just curious so I can be more prepared next season with my next class cause I don't like waiting around for a group to accept me. At this pace, I might just end up trying to tank to get past the queue times!
