What do I do?!

Okay so I went on a date w this guy who I met online, only talked to him for a week at least& he asked me out, I said yes. We went out for dinner & to a couple of bars.. it’s been two weeks since we have talked, I enjoyed our time & I like him so far. I told him I was a lovey dovey person/ I enjoy giving compliments & after he said “I shouldn’t expect those much”.. then he became a little dry after a couple messages.. am I overthinking or what?!
