3 major questions I’ve had about PNES
My last inquiry for the night !
It’s 3 topics guess.

What is your description when you have to tell someone about it for the first time? For me I’ll tell ppl before we meet or hangout for the first time especially if we’ll be hanging out one on one. At this point I feel like I have a go to script. Never want to say too much but want them to be informed for both parties sake.

Has anyone ever had a ridiculously long episode? I feel like I get stuck in a cycle sometimes. The stress from the episode itself or the guilt for the people dealing with them or the embarrassment perpetuates it. I have cluster episodes so they take a bit anyways, but no joke back in the beginning of it I had at least two times where I was in and out of seizing for 9+ hours. Google says that’s a chronic case of pnes and it’s due to toxic environments and repeated traumas etc, yet I’ve never had another human tell me they have had durations even half that time frame. Sometimes I’ll be fully out of it and feel fine like it’s behind me then I’ll go right back into it.

Has anyone else ever felt “revived” after an episode? Sometimes they drain me obviously. But anyone I’ve been around often assumes I want to go home or get into bed afterwards. Yet most of the time no matter the duration or severity of an episode I actually feel wired after. It gives me energy like I’ve just slept. And it’s like the stress that brought it on bled out during it. My sleep is very off because no matter how tired I am after very intense or longer seizures I feel rested and energetic which has never made sense to me. I get almost a high after especially if I’ve felt down or sluggish all day.
