How long do N33 reconsideration packets usually take? (Week 4 now, Atlanta MEPS)
I’m on the 4th week of waiting for my Navy medical reconsideration packet and wanted to get some opinions from people who’ve been through this.
My recruiter last updated me on 4/20 and said he would call MEPS. Haven’t heard anything since. I know Atlanta MEPS is slow, but I’m trying to get a realistic idea of how long these usually take.
For context, please read my last post — I explained everything in detail there. I also understand that these decisions are case‑by‑case and depend on what N33 sees as “compelling evidence.” I just want to add that I’ve never reported self‑harm or suicidal ideation anywhere in my records, and even my denial letters list the conditions as “unspecified” — none of them say “unfavorable” or anything like that.
But the short version is:
• I got a dermatologist letter
• I got a psychiatrist letter
• I pulled 5 years of pharmacy records
• All of it was to clarify my situation from a previous branch
• No chronic conditions, no meds, no ongoing issues
• Everything is documented and consistent
I’m based in Atlanta, GA, so if anyone has experience with how long N33 packets take specifically through Atlanta MEPS, I’d appreciate your insight.
