Thorns are 103% - is it worth spending 1200 gems for another +2% relic?

Reading some comments on here, certain thorns % milestones > 100% are useful.

Maybe even 103% is too high (it's a purple/epic effect on my module, but maybe I could downgrade it to blue and try and up something else instead)?

Wondering whether worth saving up for this relic or if I should just put it into cards instead?
