Review: Club Bath – honest first visit

I went to Club Bath in Pasay last week on a weekday around 9 PM. First time trying a bathhouse setup. I came in via Angkas feeling curious and slightly lost in life. That feeling continued the moment I arrived because I immediately used the wrong door. There is a door before the entrance that I thought was the entrance, turns out it is the exit. No sign. Just vibes. First lesson learned.

Inside, there was already a customer being assisted so I got told to wait outside. They do a one-at-a-time policy, so it felt like waiting in line but with more mystery. When it was my turn, they asked if I had a reservation. I said yes even though I was internally just guessing everything. Then they told me since it’s my first time, I need to pay membership fee of 350 pesos valid for 1 year. On top of that, I paid 500 pesos for a locker good for 5 hours. Rooms exist but your wallet will feel it more. After paying, they handed me a key, towel, and slippers like I just checked in to a very confusing hotel.

The staff guided me to the locker area and honestly they were helpful. The first thing that hits you is the gym area, then a movie area beside it, like the place cannot decide what it wants to be. The vibe is very old school. Not vintage aesthetic old school. More like your uncle’s internet cafe that never updated anything. Cleanliness is okay but inconsistent in some corners, like some parts got cleaned more emotionally than physically.

The locker system is key-based, not electronic. It felt like I was unlocking a treasure chest every time I tried it. Sometimes it opens, sometimes it makes you question your strength.

Before exploring, I asked the staff for directions because I had zero map in my brain. They explained everything kindly, like they’ve seen my type before.

Then I went to the shower area and got surprised. It is completely open. No curtains. No partitions. Just full exposure under bright lights. I stood there for a moment reconsidering all my life choices and decided, nope, not today. I skipped the shower and went straight to exploring like a confused tourist.

Second floor is where things get interesting. This is where most people stay because the rooms are here. The layout is like a maze designed by someone who hates straight lines. Lighting is dim, and the crowd is mostly older clients with a mix of body types. There are younger and fitter ones, but you can count them without needing a calculator.

What surprised me most is how direct people are. No warm-up. No small talk buildup. If they like you, they will approach you immediately like you already agreed to something. I got invited multiple times and had to politely decline while trying not to look like I understand what is happening.

There are a lot of seating areas which I liked. Some spots are comfortable, some feel like you are sitting inside a sauna that forgot it is not a sauna. I found one sweet spot where the aircon hits directly so I just stayed there like I claimed a throne.

Third floor is where things get darker. Literally. It is super dim and also maze-like, so you can easily enter a random corridor and question your navigation skills. This is also where most of the more “active” stuff happens. It felt hotter and a bit more intense in terms of smell and atmosphere, so I did not stay long. I was not ready for that level of commitment.

Rating is 7 out of 10.

Would I go back. Maybe. Depends on mood. Depends on courage. Depends on if I feel like getting lost in a building again but socially this time.
