Ongoing pelvic pain months after miscarriage — normal scans, feeling lost. Could this be endo?
I had a miscarriage last year (around 8 months ago), and since then I’ve been dealing with really intense pain that follows my cycle.
- Severe pain around my period (especially lower abdomen + lower back like a pulsing and throbbing feeling)
- Shooting pains in my thigh
- Painful ovulation
- Insane bloating and heavy feeling
- Fatigue
I've had normal periods my whole life (now in my 30s) and never experienced anything to this level so I know something is different. I had both an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound and was told everything looked “normal,” which honestly left me so dissapointed as I was desperate to start finding some answers. But mostly I think they were looking for pregnancy tissue that hadn't left + fibroids - would they be able to show endo?
I have been referred to a gynaecologist but I've been reading that some people take years to get diagnosed and even years for it to show up on scans. I feel like I'm going crazy.
I guess I’m wondering:
- Has anyone had similar symptoms after a miscarriage?
- Did you eventually get a diagnosis (endometriosis? adenomyosis? something else?)
- Is it possible for things like this to start or worsen after pregnancy loss?
- Did anything actually help while you were waiting for answers?
Thank you!! x
