Would the black community be better off today if rap music was never invented?

The culture around rap music today is all about selling and doing drugs, carrying around guns, joining gangs, killing each other in the streets, and mistreating women. How many young black men have thrown their lives away because they were influenced as children by this type of music and threw their lives away instead of being influenced by positives things. I understand not all rap music is negative but a disproportionate amount of it is. I think it’s one of the worst things to ever happen to the black community.
