At first I was wondering if he’s a psychopath, a sociopath, or just a perturbed individual whose life has been shaped by violence and dysfunction and hasn’t been able to escape from it. >!he doesn’t hesitate using violence and blackmail to get what he wants and at the same time seems to be vulnerable to some people and getting attached to them. He didn’t know how to process his father fooling around with his friend’s mom so punished his friend instead of blaming his father. Growing up he seems to regret it and wants to get closer to his friend again. He is sensitive to his friend’s sister problems but the only way he finds to help her is to threaten her aggressor. He risks his life to help her too and almost dies doing so. When he reveals why he was bullying his friend does he do it because he is remorseful? Maybe he’s able to feel remorse but at the same time I’m sure this won’t stop using violence again with other people if he needs to. He’s a complex character and probably not a psychopath or a sociopath since he doesn’t feel pleasure in other people’s suffering, to him it’s something that needs to be done in order to reach a goal. He also seems to admire his friends strength and the fact that he couldn’t break his spirit. His friend is who he wishes he could be, someone with integrity and morals who never compromises.!<
