Recently, I started facing a display issue on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. At first, a single horizontal pink line suddenly appeared on the screen while I was using the phone. There was no physical damage or drop.

The phone was charging at low current (5V, 1A) beside me. I woke up and started using it for 1 minute and the line red popped up in front of me 😫

3 months later, the 2nd line appeared by itself while charging at low current again.

When I take a screenshot, there is no lines in the screenshots because it is purely hardware issue. I read that this is inherent defects at manufacturing process where the display components of those lines are not made perfectly, and the problem can stay dormant for months to years, until it materialized by itself like now.

I bought this second hand (\~1 year after its release) and used it for another 2 years. It has been 2 years im using this mobile.

Interestingly, I am not too affected. The 2 lines are not affecting much of my usage for now. I have used many samsung phones and other phones before, this is the first time it happened. S23U is really good quality, hardware is top notch and is still relevant today. I would buy one again for low price if i can find to replace this eventually.
