Moldy lemon, oranges, animation style comparable to the game ooblets, and a strange purple doughnut creature.

I'm in the pnw region if that helps. Was watching some shit on an HBO channel on TV in the middle of the night last night and a silly movie came on. I think it was free cable. Let me describe a scene I remember: everything is shot from a far back semi overhead. Makes everything look miniature. Most of the characters will do things within the scene before it changes to another set. There were themes of sci-fi in relation to plants with a focus on oranges and lemons. There was some moldly lemon these kids stole or took from some scientist and we're trying to sell it to someone. I was stoned and tired when I watched it so I can't remember everything. Here's one scene I really remember tho: a character is struggling to stay awake with his friends and theyre all sitting near an empty pool or a skate bowl. The setting seems to be Florida, palm trees, always sunny looking. But he nods off for a moment and jokes to his friends about how he struggled with sleeping last night or something on that line. He then nods off again and it's night and everyone is gone. His phone is dead and his hoverboard is also dead that he used to get to the pool/skatebowl. So he walks back to his garage mostly in silence. I don't think there was a monologue he just walked home. I forgot to mention but the whole story seemed comedy driven. Cartoonish and silly but not intensely wacky that I can remember. There was also some purple doughnut character that followed the "main character" guy around. The style is comparable to the game ooblets or adventure time. I just keep thinking about the movie and want to watch the whole thing since I couldn't finish it as I fell asleep. It seemed fun. Also the moldy lemon wasn't moldy. It was like some "special" organism or something like that. The memory is escaping me now.
