Thinking of joining SCMHRD for Sales & Marketing. Need honest advice from current students/alumni

Question :snoo_thoughtful:

Hi everyone,

I’m considering joining SCMHRD for MBA and I’m mainly interested in Sales & Marketing roles (FMCG/FMCD/Consumer Goods, brand management, sales, etc.).

I come from a Computer Science Engineering background and have around 11 months of work experience in marketing. Before making such a big decision, especially with the loan involved, I wanted some honest insights from current students or alumni.

I had a few questions regarding:

Actual marketing placements and the kind of companies/roles offered

Chances of getting top companies like HUL, ITC, P&G, L’Oréal, Marico, Asian Paints, etc.

How strong the SIP opportunities are for marketing

Honest average stipend for SIPs and average final package for marketing roles (not brochure numbers)

Whether profiles like 8/6/7 create problems during placements

Pre-requisites before joining MBA that can help in SIPs (marketing prep, case comps, certifications, communication skills, etc.)

Whether my Computer Science + marketing work experience background helps or creates challenges for marketing roles

Overall ROI considering the fee and average outcomes

I’d really appreciate genuine, unfiltered feedback—both positives and negatives—so I can make an informed decision.

Thanks a lot!
