Headache regarding new 10G Ethernet module
Its very cool that Framework is going to offer a 10G Ethernet module:
https://frame.work/de/de/products/wisdpi-10g-ethernet-expansion-card
But there is a problem:
It uses the RTL8159 chip, which needs USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 on host side.
And users have confirmed that the Framework laptops don't support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbit) - it will be downgraded to USB 3.2 (10 Gbit)
Due to this and some overhead you can't use the full 10G Ethernet speed.
The other 10G adapter from WisdPi uses the same chip:

Jeff Geerling already confirmed this problem:

Soooo, will Framework let us be stuck with limited bandwith or will there be a firmware update enabling USB 3.2 Gen 2.2?
For me it's a kind of bummer right now...
