PSA: The reason Sour Patch Kids are so different is because they can be made in Turkey, Canada, or Mexico
Personally I find the ones made in Turkey to be the cheapest tasting and crumbly, not too good and usually found at dollar stores.
The Canada ones are pretty much the classic Sour Patch Kid, just Sour and chewy enough with a good taste.
The Mexican ones are extra chewy and have a bit of a sweeter fruity taste to them.
That's my experience anyway.
