Step by step but NO

not really a vent but im sooo ??? ?? ? ?

i wanna do things step by step but i dont know what steps are next (and a LOT of things are time planning heavy, as in i gotta time them so they line up perfectly) and then my mom suggests things that are in a later part of the steps (like packing for moving but i havent planned (?) that part of the Big Plan) and now im stuck and no one can help bc they dont give advice that makes sense to me (like mother throwing that curveball ykwim)

yeah 😭 yknow it would be fine if i was just a bit more organised OR just a bit more spontaneous bc this kindly middle ground of both gets me stuck all the damn time
