Newbie here - does the really become much better?

hey all,

before saying anything - some stats:
currently MSQ level 19, Rogue level 31.
trying to become a ninja.

now, i gotta be totally honest.
as of now the game feels like 30% enjoyment and 70% a chore.

the walking around, from point to point, then back to town… walk some more.
everything feels so robotic, stale.

i keep reminding myself all the videos claiming the story is AMAZING.
and how the game starts slow but then becomes something extraordinary.

but as of now, i don’t see that happening.
i mean, it feels like I’m being recommended a TV Show and being said:
“look, you have to watch these first 2 seasons that are slow and kinda suck… but once you get to season 3? oh boy, it’s gonna be worth it.”

i mean, how much better does it actually get?
I have never used the auto-walk\run button in ANY MMORPG i’ve played (and i played a lot) as much as I’m using it here.

i gotta be honest, I’m not trashing the game cause i know its dear to many players.
but i genuinely wanna know if the game does become more fast paced, more dialogue-voice overs? cause without voice-overs for 90% of the dialogues nothing is really engaging in the story.
so if the story continues down this long text dialogues and now voice-over I’d hate it.

oh and the combat, clicking 1… waiting… click 2… waiting… click 3…. for combo.
as a Ninja does it get a more engaging fighting system or it’s like that for them whole game?
