Why is kurta sizing so inconsistent across brands? How do you deal with it?

I genuinely don’t understand why kurta sizing is all over the place.

In one place, a size fits perfectly. Somewhere else, the same size is either too tight in the shoulders, weirdly loose around the waist, or just completely off overall. And don’t even get me started on how the length and sleeves can vary randomly.

What’s more frustrating is that:

• Size charts don’t always match the actual product
• The fit changes depending on fabric and style
• Online shopping turns into pure guesswork

At this point, I feel like I can’t trust sizes at all and end up overthinking every purchase.

So how are you guys dealing with this?

Do you:

• Always size up/down based on experience?
• Stick to certain fits or patterns that work for you?
• Or just rely on tailoring after buying?

Would really appreciate any practical tips because this trial-and-error cycle is getting tiring.
