Two months after crushing the rebellions in Reikland, an urgent scout report bursts into the halls of Altdorf.

Dark magic is stirring.

The dead are crawling from their graves, carcasses fueled by a thirst for the living, and relentless spirits ride skeletal steeds through the forests of the Marienburg outskirts.

Though Marienburg remains an independent city-state, Karl Franz knows that the rise of Necromancy is a rot that will not stop at borders. To leave this evil unbothered is to invite an unstoppable army of death into the heart of the Empire.

With no time for diplomatic niceties, the Emperor leads his army personally into foreign territory—a clear act of hostility, but a mechanical necessity to put these foul souls to rest.

On a gloomy afternoon, across fields of green grass and red flowers, the Empire finally meets its objective. Thousands of rotting corpses stand at the forest’s edge, ready to welcome the men of Sigmar into their silent ranks. Leading them is a shadow from the past, a Necromancer of terrible power.

Will Faith and Steel endure until the end of the day? Or is death inevitable, even for the bravest believers of Sigmar?
