Survivor augment is OVERRATED

Discussion

Aggressive or defensive is better for pvp. They actually help you while you're alive. Survivor works in solo but you're denying yourself a passive bonus that can help you survive and walk out, not crawl.

Having the extra heals can really make a difference. I personally like the aggressive over the defensive. You can safely fall from heights and heal back up for free, which can be great for getting away when you've used all your heals, or you can save your heals if you get hit by a wasp or something at the start of the game. Just grab the powercell and let the augment heal you up. Most of the time, if nobody is around, i wont even need to use any heals at all and i'll be full health again in a few minutes.

The defensive augment's sheild recharger is way more useful than the survivor augment. Not much more to say, it saves you shields and is just great. Anyone can see the value in that i think. Being able to fully shield up in 5 seconds, instead of 4 + waiting for the sheild to charge can let you heal while being pushed consistently. And while not what we might consider running, the added mobility while charging can mean so much while in the middle of a fight. When you're needing to heal, you're normally on the move or inside an area holding angles. Being able to move to check another angle while charging can give you more information and the added mobility really helps.

I think the main attraction of the survivor is the safe pockets and i can see the benefit in that, but i really don't see why people love it for pvp so much. I guess you can stay alive while a fights going on, letting your teammates revive you later, but we really gonna say thats better than running heavy shield and extra grenades or free surge shield every 55 seconds? That might have let you win the fight. Some people even strategically die so that they can crawl out. We really wasting our time planning out our own deaths?

You want to thrive, not survive
