Would the Imperium hypothetically be more willing to work with Xenos outside the milky way?

I mean in a sort of Star Trek Voyager situation where a ship was lost in another galaxy that didnt become Tyranid chow through a warp gate, or something. The Imperium is "Kill all xenos" at least in part because "this galaxy belongs to humanity" so would that extend to a hypothetical outergalactic race who didn't have any aspirations of invading the emperors territory. Like obviously their still an affront to the glorious human form, yadda yadda. But would they be a bit more open to diplomacy in this hyper specific case. Regardless of the answer that would make for a neat story them trying and likely failing to get back home
