For the melanated girlies who play rock music

Idk if I’m alone here but with Beyoncé’s anticipated act iii album…how are we feeling?
Part of me, as a black woman in rock music (and as someone who has been called “Beyoncé” as a compliment innumerable times through my career despite singing and playing music in a completely different genre) worries about how my music/others like me’s music will look post-Bey-rock-reclamation. With Cowboy Carter, I saw many black women in country (smaller musicians) get likened to “cowboy-carter-core”, which feels completely dismissive of the whole point of reclaiming a genre. Obviously I’m not like “boycott the album!” or saying anything against Beyoncé herself. But I just need to know if any of you ladies feel the same…nervous almost? As rock’s slowly starting to seep back into mainstream music, it would really suck for a mainstream reclamation to push any similar looking future artists in the rock genre into a monolith of a black woman in rock
