Let’s look at the reality of Taylor’s behavior
It seems like the Taylor defenders are out in full force, grasping at straws to absolve her of blame in this situation so I want to clearly lay out some of the facts for those who didn’t have a chance to listen to the hearing, or who aren’t following the case as closely.
• Taylor has repeatedly admitted to being the primary aggressor, and has not formally claimed that any of her violent behavior was in self defense or a reaction to physical violence.
• These admissions include her guilty plea when she was charged in 2023, as well as her lawyers statements regarding several instances today. Some instances were also admitted to via text messages admitted as evidence.
• Taylor has been shown to lie about these events repeatedly. She lied to police when initially questioned about the 2023 incident. She seems to have lied about having a bloody nose during the 2026 incident (based on Dakota’s reports, her failure to show photo evidence along with her other images of injuries, and the fact she claimed to have a video of the event that was never submitted to evidence). Police also noted that the bruise images she submitted in regard to the 2026 events were not consistent with the incident dates.
• SLOMW cast members paused filming after seeing photos and videos of Taylor’s abuse (presumably photos and videos we have not yet seen) that indicate the abuse has put her children in danger over an extended period of time. Many members of the cast have continued to distance themselves.
• Taylor has failed to report any of these incidents, and has not shared any explanation as to why, when reporting these incidents would have been beneficial to Ever.
• In fact, there is police audio showing that Taylor actively discouraged Dakota from reporting these events to police and begged him not to.
• When contacted by police following the 2026 incidents Taylor declined to state if she had any injuries - even when directly asked. In nearly all of her interactions with the police that we’ve seen via body cam footage she does not cooperate with law enforcement.
• Taylor has gone against the court recommendation to have a third-party supervise her visits with Ever, undermining her own custody case.
• Despite Taylor alleging Dakota also abused her, the court acknowledges her sister and Dakota are on good terms. None of Taylor’s friends have claimed to witness physical abuse against Taylor, or to have seen any injuries.
• The GAL strongly advised against Taylor having unsupervised visitation. He repeatedly shared his concerns about Taylor’s ability to prioritize her children’s safety and pushed back against the judge in defense of Ever.
I try to base my judgements off actual facts, and the fact is that Taylor has plead guilty to domestic violence, physically harmed at least one of her children as a result of her inability to control her anger, has a protective order against her, and lost custody of Ever. These are real consequences that came as a result of her actions.
I do not say all of this to absolve Dakota - I do believe he has also been physically abusive toward Taylor. I believe it likely started in instances of self defense but that he likely took it too far out of anger. Either way, he failed in his responsibility to protect Ever from a toxic and potentially physically dangerous environment.
