Transfer after one semester or after one year?

hiii!! im going to be attending UMBC in the fall and I want to transfer to another 4 year university! Ive visited UMBC and ofc it’s a great school but i cant imagine myself there for 4 years. I committed because my parents wanted me to go to the school offering the most money (UMBC) but im not super excited. Does anyone else relate to these feelings? Im looking to transfer to UMD after one semester but im not sure what exact plan I should make. Can anyone help me and let me know what you think of this plan!
