Give me yall opinions on CMU vs Cal for Physics

Basically the title, I am curious because both college are quite different. I am oos Berkeley and either way qualify for no financial aid from either school. I plan on doing post grad in quantum so far but may change depending on how the academia scene changes in the next few years.

Is it also harder to aim for engineering minors at one or both of them? Or would there be a more useful major/minor to aim for if not just build skills in
