Schools with similar feel to Virginia Tech - liberal arts/org psych PhD

I did my master's as VT and I loved it more than where I did undergrad so much that I cannot imagine ever going to another small school in a city with no sense of community. I am looking for PhD programs in liberal arts, probably communication, conflict resolution, or even in org psych. Still trying to figure it out, can't do VT any longer since their programs are not what I am looking for. Are there any schools with similar programs that have the same campus feel, environment, etc? Hopefully looking in the VA, MD, DC, surrounding area.
