8 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback with Lymphoma
Hi everyone.
About a week ago, my dog was diagnosed with Large Cell Lymphoma, and it has been a very very difficult process to come to a decision about what to do for my baby boy.
I am leaning towards no treatment because going to the vet already stresses him out a TON! He’s been having trouble getting into the car as well ever since last week as he used to jump in, but now he gets rightfully nervous & stressed climbing into the car & it is very sad to see. I just think treating him will stress him out & I do not want to put him in a situation where he will suffer.
The part of me that’s holding back is I don’t want to feel like I did nothing for him. Sometimes I look into those big, beautiful eyes & wonder if he’s asking for help.
We have been making him incredibly comfortable ever since the diagnosis, showering with love, affection, attention & regularly spoiling him with steak dinners. I would do anything for this dog. But I just don’t want to see him suffer. Sometimes I even think, he’s waiting to reunite with my Dad in Heaven.
For the people that did no treatment, why did you choose no treatment? What was you experience?
