Season 50 Theme Confusion

Heroes vs Villains is a clear theme for a season. I thought the theme for 50 was “In the Hands of the Fans” where polls skew questions towards the goals of production.

That seems to have gone away and replaced by celebrities and “chaos vs comfort.” Jeff didn’t mention fans once this episode. Is there just no theme?
