Question about Meridia

If it’s now confirmed that the Meridia singularity is in fact not a black hole but a wormhole.
Could it be possible that Meridia itself was sent elsewhere in space?
And if so, could it explain where the gloom came from considering the possibility that the Meridia super colony is still somewhere out there?
