Generic research centers versus labs
I am in 2036 and I have unlocked the T2 platforms and outposts. I am trying to figure out how to boost my science progress the best with a space station.
The key point is that I am limited by MC. Both in raw numbers, and by the hate mechanic.
So a research center gives me 60 beakers but costs me 1 MC. A lab will give me 10 beakers, and a 10 percent boost on one of the seven(?) science categories. Labs take less power than a research center, so I think I can fit seven of them on a T2 space station (with the farm, nanofactory and skunkworks, and power stations to fill the other five
I only seem to be able to get 4 research station on a T2 space station because of their power requirement.
So for the RC version of this thing, that's 120 beakers, costing 6 MC which is 20 beakers/MC
For the lab thing it's 70 beakers, plus you probably get 6 bonuses. If you figure raw production on earth of 100 per day, that's another 60 beakers, so 130 beakers for 2 MC which is 65 beakers/MC.
Which make the labs look a whole lot better for me at the moment. But maybe my math is off, or I'm missing something else. Thoughts?
