Season 2, Episode 5: "Did I catch you in a fantasy..."

"... where the boy somehow fumbles his way into publication? Where Lestat strolls past a bookstore, your book displayed in the shop window, where he buys himself a copy, reads your nasty embellishments and comes chasing after you again?"

Armand asks Louis this before his "prison of empathy" remarks and bringing Lestat into the conversation (literally), but watching this I was struck by how that is literally the start of Season 3. The only difference is, instead of Lestat chasing after Louis (as usual), he goes off on his own and makes Louis chase him.

But this foreshadowing reveals just how meticulously the showrunners have planned this.
