I sold my dead grandfathers games.
So for background, my grandfather died over ten years ago. He left me with several xbox consoles and so many games and accessories. Today i sold the xbox 360 and the games and accessories for that console that i grew up on. (i have a series s now and the xbox one he left me broke but i still have the games that im going to see is compatible with my current xbox). The games have been sitting in my closet since the day i got them from his apartment because i haven’t had the courage to do anything with them except for a few i played. He was my best friend and i have a bunch of stuff i got but getting rid of things that was his makes me feel so bad.
The family i sold it to was a father, mother, and son. His son was super excited and the dad told my dad (i was too in my feelings to give it up myself so he did it and i listened over the camera to make sure he didn’t try to lowball because my dad is old and doesn’t know xbox) that they had already picked which controllers would go to each of them.
My mom said my grandpa would have wanted them to be played and be enjoyed by another family which made me feel a lot better but i can’t help but think im loosing a bit of my grandpa even after all these years because i sold it even if they were sitting for years
any advice is appreciated.
