1 year on

It’s 1 year today since my surgery (ACL Patellar repair + Meniscus) and so got me reflecting on progress.

As most people known in this sub, it’s a long old road with its fair share of challenges that can feel relentless at times. However, I’ve just checked my Garmin and in the last 12 months I’ve managed to put in 284 hours in the gym (avg 5.5 hours per week, normally very early on a morning) as well as being able to run 240km between September 2025 and now (stating very short distances and working up). I’m now seriously thinking about my return to football which was always my target.

So to those who need it, don’t give up hope. Yes it takes hard work and commitment, but there is light at the end of the tunnel if the work is put in. Best wishes to all those on that road.
