Don't get me wrong, I'm all for separating art and artist, and I think the beatles have a lot of great songs and they're one of my favourite bands of all time, but I feel like people ignore all the messed up stuff John Lennon did. Like, he literally has a song where he says THE N WORD over and over again, and people just think that's okay? Nobody seems to mention it. He also treated his first wife awfully and admitted to being physically abusive to her. He also hated George (the best beatle, fight me) and tried to kick him out of the band, and I don't mean like that spat with Ringo, it really seems like John hated the guy. Also, John repeatedly used drugs and promoted drug use which is a pretty irresponsible thing to do when you have such an impressionable audience.

These are just a few of many things he did in his life, I haven't even mentioned his serial cheating on both his wives. Don't misunderstand, I really enjoy all the beatles' music up to beatles for sale and a couple songs from rubber soul, but I really don't get why more people don't talk about the bad stuff John did. I hope this post maybe brought some stuff to light that most of you probably never heard about. If you don't believe me you can do your own research on the subject, but yeah, I think he was a pretty bad guy. If this post gets removed I'll just assume it's censorship. You can't just live in an echo chamber and ignore awful things people did just because they were really talented. You like his music? Cool me too, and millions of other people, but you can't just act like he's the second coming just because he revolutionised the music industry. He was a person, and one with an extreme amount of faults.

Does anyone else think John Lennon was a bad person?
