WYR: Have an extra $10k per year for the next 25 years or $500k on year number 25?

Money/Business

Assume you're about 40, so 25 years would mean retirement. Which one do you take? Money now to take vacations, help buy a house, use towards a car, or do whatever you want that improves your quality of life over the next 25 years?

Or do you play the long game and double your money but you're not able to start spending it until you're 65?

Assume that otherwise you make enough that all your needs are met and the extra $10k would just be for extras, not necessities or bills. Also assume that you'll still have enough to retire on, but not that extra half million.
