My bf is conservative.

As the title says, my boyfriend is conservative. I recently found out because we never talked politics before. Our political views are totally different, and he's kinda stubborn too. He's super religious too but i don't care about that because our country is secular and he doesn't force me anything. But he has conservative views towards women (even though he's gay), minorities and even LGBTQ, but he did grew up in a very conservative state and deeply rural family so i kind of understand.

My question is, should i try to change him or should i just leave it as it is? Because I love him and i want this to last long and everytime we talk politics (which we don't a lot) we almost certainly argues because of our different views, because other than the political views, he's super kind and super caring.
