How do you secure your hair in the shower when it’s wet?

Im trying to figure out how to keep my hair off of my body while it has conditioner in it so it’s not in the way while I’m washing the rest of my body. I’m growing my hair out and it’s currently not long enough for a claw clip and I can’t figure out how to use one anyway for the life of me. I’ve tried spiral hair ties but they cause breakage and pull at my scalp. Any help is appreciated
