Origin of the Evil Sun (Waargh: Da Orks excerpt)

The idea of the Orks having a homeworld has never really been delved into, even compared to the Eldar homeworld which still occasionally appears in Eldar mythology. I think some people assume Ullanor/Armageddon was the Ork homeworld due to how much emphasis the Beast Arises put on it, but I don't think it was ever explicitly stated. I believe this detail from the original 1E Waargh: Da Orks book is our only real reference to it.

To the Evil Sunz Orks, the totem represents the harsh, relentless aspect of a hot sun - a sun glowing red, as if gorged with blood. This may hark back to blood sacrifices to the red giant sun believed to have shown down on the original home world of the Orks. Historically, the Orks believed the weakening sun needed to be offered blood to keep it alive.
