Slow recovery post Op

I (34,M) had a right inguinal laparoscopic surgery 2 months back. The recovery has been slow and I still feel heaviness and tightness around my groin area which wasn’t there pre-op and slight pain where the hernia was. I was told that these symptoms generally ease out after 6-8 weeks which hasn’t been the case for me. Any fellow folks in the same boat and when did you start feeling completely normal post op.
