Renaming myself

Hello. I'm here asking for feedback on renaming myself: For starters, my birth name is an unusual gender neutral name (but it's a common word, and i hate that). It has gotten me some negative attention over the years, and i cringe hard whenever i have to say it or show my id. So i really wanna change it soon!

Recently, I've found the name "Santino". I like the "ino" at the end and that it goes well with my last name. But I'm not italian... I'm Latino, and my original middle name is a misspelled common Italian name (which i don't really wanna go by either) so i kinda wanted to go with an Italian middle name... but I'm worried that it might be culturally inappropriate?

Question is: Is it bad that i wanna use it if I'm not italian / have italian heritage?, And if there's any other suggestions of 7-8 letter names for a Mexican guy like me? I'll appreciate the answers
