Have any nurses been looked down upon by a doctor because they are nurses?

I am a male psychiatric nurse. Our role is essential, but there was a psychiatrist at my workplace who looked down on us. He felt that because we aren't psychiatrists, we don't know anything, and he treated us with a lack of respect. He has since been sanctioned for his comments, but I wanted to know if others have experienced something similar not necessarily in psychiatry field.
