How do I turn off the trackpad in the Go S SteamOS?

I have the Legion go s SteamOS.

Playing the Outer Wilds 2, I find myself shooting from my gun at random moments, I believe it's the trackpad that's too close to the right stick.

I can confirm that it is the issue, if I can turn it off.

All solutions I find online are for windows devices, for Go 1 which seem to have options I can't find.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks
