Unused Concept Draft #1: Idrp Idia+Styx Director Interaction

Spoiler

*Deep within the confines of S.T.Y.X headquarters, a certain bule-haired teen stormed through the halls. Each step quick and deliberate. His purpose was not for some wholesome, happy reunion with his parents or to go home. No, he came for answers.*

*He stopped in front of a door. No backing down now. It was now or never.*

*The door slid open before Idia could do anything. Behind the door stood an older masked man, sitting at a desk with his hands clasped together atop the desk. The Director of S.T.Y.X.*

*His father.*

*Idia walked up to the desk and slammed his hands down onto the surface. He looked at his father with an expression that barely concealed any of his suspicions towards the older Shroud.*

"So, why are we suddenly doing the extroverted, no-strings-attached science research act? You tryin to get us doxx cuz this is all lowkey sus. Especially considering the fact that back home we erase all traces to keep our work on the down," *Idia questioned his father with unusual confidence compared to his usual demeanor.*

*There was a moment of silence before the Director spoke,* "Calm down, Idia. This is far from the proper way to greet your father after disappearing."

"WHO CARES?! Just tell me what you're up to, old man. It's not like you can just erase the memories and data of every single person and system here like you can back home. There's waaayyy too many unknown stats to account for."

*The Director sighs.*

"The answer is simple. It doesn't matter how much we reveal about S.T.Y.X and what we're researching. As long as we keep our innermost workings and technology a secret, nothing bad will come to the organization. And on the slim possibility something does and S.T.Y.X is put in danger, we can pull everything, including all personnel, from this world and close the way through."

"And all the people here? You're just gonna dip and leave everyone here to clean up our mess?"

"Hm? That's quite out of character for you, Idia. You're not typically one to care for others like that. Need I remember you of the little incident you and Ortho caused back home," *the director sighed once more before continuing,* "Nevertheless, you know the purpose of S.T.Y.X. The job of the Shroud family."

"And what does blot, Tartarus, or the Underworld even have to do with this world?"

"We have a duty to keep our world safe from threats not commonly understood by normal people. If this world interferes with that, then we're left with no choice but to cut the connection. Even if it doesn't perfect fit into out normal duties."

*Idia's gaze locked onto the ground. Hus fist clutched tightly together to the point of turning his knuckles white.*

"....and what about Ortho?" *Idia muttered.*

"Speak up, Idia."

"WHAT ABOUT ORTHO?! AND ALL THE PEOPLE HE'S CONSIDERS HIS FRIENDS HERE?! How would Ortho feel about having to abandon all of them?" *Idia shouts quickly died down into a barely audible mumble.*

"I'm sure he'll grow to understand why it had to be done if things ever have to come down it. And if not and he becomes unreasonable, unfortunately, you'll have to help us erase the data he's collected in this world."

*The director rested a hand solemnly on his sons shoulders.*

"Hopefully, we'll never have to come to that. Now please, go greet your mother. She's been worried sick about you since Ortho reported your disappearance."

*With that, the older man patted his son's shoulder and walked out of the room. Idia stood there, refusing to reply to anything his father just said. Refusing to acknowledge that his own father would think about deleting memories from Ortho's system.*

***drip***

*Idia quickly wiped the tear from his face. No, now wasn't the time for that. He had more important things to settle.*
