WIBTAH if i didn’t let my friend live with me?

This is a throwaway because don’t need people finding out this is me. But im 18 and moving out with one of my close friends in about 2 and a half weeks this would be both our first apartments. But i have this other friend we’ll call Randy he gets everything be wants and needs from his parents and treats them like shit but we’ve been friends since middle school.

I recently got kicked out of my house and have been staying with Randy for 2 months and he asked to move in with me and my other friend when we do leave. Randy has no work ethic he quits every job in 2 months and sells weed pens on the side.

He wants to move in and we told him if he pays the transfer fee we can get into a 3 bedroom and split rent 3 ways but he says out house rules are too much and constantly thinks we don’t like him. We have these rules in place because the people he hangs around are dangerous and carry guns on them and thats not something i want in my house because i grew up around that and know the problems that come with it. He says we’re treating our apartment like a prison and i don’t get how he doesn’t see that isn’t good for the environment.

He constantly shows out and does stuff that makes me not believe he’s not ready for the real word he has 0 responsibilities and doesn’t pay any bills not even a phone bill his car is paid off and insurance is covered by his parents. Our collective friend group has said he should stay at home with his parents but he insists on moving out with us.

I feel obligated to let him move with me because he basically gave up his room to me when i had nowhere to stay and thats my day 1 but he isn’t ready for real responsibilities. Should i let him move out and face the true reality of life or tell him flat out no.
