Experienced Dev (20+ years) transitioning into Quant/Crypto — Looking for a serious study group/buddy

I’m looking for a few dedicated people to study quantitative trading and crypto markets with.

About me: I’ve been a software engineer and development manager for about 20 years. While my technical and coding background is very solid, I consider myself a complete beginner in the quant space. I’m currently learning the ropes of backtesting, financial modeling, and market dynamics.

What I’m looking for: I’m hoping to find others who are also in the learning phase or are already experienced and enjoy discussing the "how-to" of quant trading. Whether you are a math whiz, a fellow dev, or a trader, I’d love to:

• Share and review research papers or learning resources.
• Discuss the technical hurdles of building a robust backtesting engine.
• Keep each other accountable as we progress through the theory and practice.
