starting out with a DH2300

hi there-

i've been juggling external hard drives for 20+ years, finally saved up to try and do things a little more "correctly" with storage.

i'm having trouble figuring out what the dh2300 can and cannot do, though - and i'd like to get a handle on it before i spend the money and time archiving old drives on a system that i don't really understand.

my main purpose is for storage. i work with audio editing, primarily, and i'd really love to be able to edit files without loading them onto my computer - but i saw a review that said editing isn't possible. they didn't clarify much.

i was a little curious about using something like plex to stream elsewhere from the ugreen - but i read a bit that suggested there were some challenges with that, as well.

i was also read briefly about using an OS different from UGOS Pro - i was curious what the general consensus was on that..
