Zero-Downtime Deployment Strategy for .NET Web API + React (Global App)

I’m building a global application with a .NET Web API backend and a React frontend, and I’m trying to figure out the best strategy for zero-downtime deployments. Right now, I’m considering versioning the API (v1 → v2) while maintaining backward compatibility so the frontend and backend can transition smoothly without breaking existing users. Is this the right approach for achieving zero downtime at scale?
