William as the Constant in FFPS Minigames
There is the theory that Midnight Motorist depicts the life of one of William's (murder) victims because the other two, "8-bit" minigames depicted his (murder) victims as well (Security Puppet & Fruity Maze.
However, using that logic, I'd come up with the observation that William himself is the constant between each minigame, having played a critical role in each:
-
In Security Puppet, he played an unseen yet important role as the one who murdered Charlie and left her dying body out, inadvertently having allowed her to possess The Marionette.
-
In Fruity Maze, he was more of a background character only having appeared in the final run in his Spring Bonnie suit and having allowed us to see how he lured one of the MCI Kids, Susie.
-
In Midnight Motorist, he took center stage and we got to a peek into his depressing home life. We also got more of a look into the kind of person he really was.
I think the three minigames having William as the "constant" throughout them forms a throughline to the story they and FFPS as a whole are trying to tell.
Thoughts?
