(UPLB) Do I have a chance on being offered a slot in BS MatE and should I consider BS Forestry?
Hi! I passed the UPCAT 2026 and I've been contemplating whether to enroll in an another state university or to wait after the confirmation period if I got offered a slot in BS Materials Engineering.
It's been 9 days since the results came out and I haven't been sleeping well since I'm torn between keeping my hopes up with my dream university or securing my slot in a state university with a course I cannot imagine myself in.
UPLB has been my dream university for as long as I could remember. Though I did not expect to pass since I wasn't able to review well before the UPCAT, I am grateful for the opportunity UP gave to me.
Given the degree programs offered, should I wait for a slot in BS MatE? Is there a high chance of being admitted to this program? Should I also consider BS Forestry? What are the possible career paths for this program? Can I have a stable job in the future with this program?
Thank you to those who will answer. I would really appreciate it.
